Well, I am pretty heavy as a dead weight, so if I am gonna come back alive, I'll do it on my own two feet. I can't shake this feeling of dissatisfaction that flows through my veins until it gets to my heart, and just when I've stamped it out it picks up a charge and it starts up all over again. And I can't tell you how far I walked looking for happiness, but know I crossed a country. I put down roots. I don't know if I'll return but there are things there I miss, and I don't know if I'm home now or just somewhere a little more appealing to my masochistic bent -- but god, I'm happy here! If there was anything I knew I could say to make you happy, we wouldn't be here. But I don't, and I don't think anyone does. Not even you, and you don't want to hear it from me anyhow. I'm just hanging around. What a mess! What a mess! What a mess we got on our hands. Life imitates art, and I guess we're some of the best. This is the kind of corner we can only paint ourselves deeper into. We sure as shit -- we sure as shit won't turn it and move on. And I guess we're both fucked in the long run. It's just hollering from here -- because there are facts to every matter and the fact of ours is I don't know what I'm saying and neither one of us knows what to do.
